Happy New Year to all of you.

Nice quiet day. Son had plans, daughter came up since her hubby had to work. Indoor Christmas decorations are down and put away and the kitchen was cleaned up by 5 so I got into my jammies. Hubby was playing with his tablet in bed (get your minds out of the gutter guys

We took our tree down yesterday too, along with some decorations. The wifey is taking the rest down today. The priest told us that the tree is supposed to stay up for 12 days after Christmas. He asked everyone during his homily if anyone took their tree down and we didn't raise our hands.

Well, there were only a few plastic ones at our house.
I still have to take the lights down outside. That might have to wait for the temp to be over 40 degrees on a weekend.

I took everything down on Friday prior to the storm. Heck, might be until April before I see the ground again out there.

Yeah, we're pretty buried right now. It's not too much of a hassle taking the high ones down (Icicle Lights). I use spring binder clips to hold them up underneath the fascia. I can pretty much pull all of them down while standing of the ground once I get it started. Just need a ladder is a couple of tricky spots.

I have a bunch of those net type lights over bushes, with a bunch of extension cords and a lit snowman. Deep snow makes it a major pain in the ass to get up.

I've got a bunch of just standard string lights on my bushes out front. But yeah, getting to the extension cords now is ridiculous. Temps are supposed to got up in the 40's pretty much all next week here, so maybe by the following weekend I'll get to them.

Yeah, I can't count on it. I could just as easily have this until April...
