Too bad he is about as exciting as a box of rocks. The guy needs some charisma to go along with his ideas.

Allen West, Marco Rubio, or bust.

If you look back through the years, a candidate picking one of their primary opponents as a running mate has rarely lost the general election compared to ones who pick someone that didn't run.

Anyone else getting totally fed up with political campaign ads? Everyone attacks their opposition. Pretty funny right now for the primaries. They main objective is to connect your same party opponent to the other party. It all about hatred for the other side of the aisle. It's gotten way out of hand IMO. Why have we become so polarized? It's incredible. No wonder shit doesn't get done.

The ideology has seemed to have gone in completely different directions. Starting class, race, gender, etc. warfare is how the politicians have chosen to polarize the vote and attempt to win elections (besides having voter fraud and all those dead people vote). Associating your opponent with the other party appears to be more beneficial that justifying and listing your own achievements.

The ones I really like are when they tell you their opponent voted for a certain measure that was in a bill. Until there is such a thing as a pure bill, this means pretty much nothing. As an example, I heard an ad attacking Santorum (since this thread has his name on it) for voting for the "bridge to nowhere". Since it was an omnibus spending bill that passed 93-1 (including yea votes from then Senators Obama and Biden), this is a rather disingenuous way of representing someone's voting record. The only way to avoid voting for/against something that can be used against you is to never vote yea or nay on anything. I guess they could vote "present" but I think that was already done in the Illinois Senate. :P

Have you seen the one against Kathleen Kane, who's running to get the Democratic nod for PA Attorney General? Her Democratic opponent Patrick Murphy. He's got a recording of her saying "" 'I did write a check to Tom Corbett" and it repeats " 'I did write a check to Tom Corbett". Talk about annoying.

I'm not trying to pinpoint the Dems either. Same thing is happening with the Republicans. Whatever happened to running on your own merits and experience.

I'm sick of it. And the worse part of it is, they're running the same stuff over and over again. It's like Chinese water torture.

As fed up as I am with the political mud-slinging, I'm more fed up with every single hard (yet clean) hit in the NHL is now met with some kind of scrum. It's as much BS as the 'I'm going to Disney World' celebrations in the NFL after making a relatively insignificant play.

See what I did there...tied in politics with hockey on a hockey message board.....It's MADNESS!!

I received a letter in the mail yesterday about a state candidate(Gary). It was signed by his brother (David) basically refuting all the claims of accomplishment, in a private business, that his candidate brother (Gary) was making. The brother (David), signing the letter, said that all the accomplishments he (Gary) was taking credit for was actually their father's achievements. Sounds like a tight-knit family. :P Their mother lives in a house surrounded by Nemacolin property.

I added the names to try to make it less confusing.

Well, I am warming up to Romney.

Probably because he's all we have to beat Obama.
