Quotes of the Day

"There’s no real excuse. We’re not executing well. At least it’s got to get momentum for us. If we’re not going to score, we’ve got to at least get momentum. We weren’t able to do that."
- Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby

"I was trying to keep it simple and I was ready to go. I wanted to play well to prove I could stay in the lineup. My legs were going. I was in it. I got the chance to play more and played better when I played more"
- Pittsburgh Penguins D Simon Despres

"When we get a clean setup, we can work from there. We definitely make it tough on ourselves when we don’t have a good entry and we’re chasing the puck around; then they’re getting easy clears on us and we’re going to have to keep going back for it. We’ve got to have a better mindset. We need to execute our routes and execute the plays that we know to make. When things aren’t going our way, we can’t hang our heads. We’ve got to stay upbeat and keep pushing. But tonight was obviously a tough one. When the bounces weren’t going our way, we kind of looked the other way."
- Pittsburgh Penguins RW James Neal

Head Coach Dan Bylsma Quote of the Day
"After that, I thought we didn’t play with a lot of emotion. We didn’t bounce back from that. We didn’t execute very well after that. The way we played, our attitude and our emotion, dropped as a result of that."

Is it bad that I secretly hope the Pens continue to get embarrassed and Ballsma gets canned?

I secretly want a major light bulb to go off in his head and he turns into Badger Bob Johnson. Then again, they want ice water in Hell.

It's not even the losing that gets me, it's the fact that they have just become so boring to watch.

I'd rather watch the Kevin Constantine trap era than whatever they are currently doing.

I'd call it confusing, rather than boring.

Maybe they could hire, at least, an assistant that understands defense and not a guy who played a few shifts with Chris Pronger in St. Louis.

Tom Fitzgerald knows more about defense than Captain Combover.

I get that part, but I'd rather stab myself in the forehead than watch the trap night after night.

I think it's the single reason NJ can't fill that building. They were more boring than watching the grass grow for 10 years.

I wish Mario would root through the attic and bring out the playbooks for when BBJ and Scotty B. were coaching
