RIght now, he's only fined and suspended and has to go to anger management classes.

In other news, Pitt is going to lose 7 footer Freshman Steven Adams to the NBA draft. He's hiring an agent, which won't allow him to go back to college. Personally, I think the kid should stay one more season and refine his game and improve his draft status, but I can't blame the kid for following the money. He's the youngest of 18 children from a family in New Zealand, so I'm sure they could use the money. Pitt is really gonna suck next season because they have nobody to replace him. Most of the highly touted high school seniors have already committed on paper and Juco's have signed.

If that guy doesn't get fired, I've watched my last college Bball game.

He's just one that got caught on video. Bobby Knight (and others) did (and do) that kind of stuff all the time in practice. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that it happens more than we know. I think it's kind of ironic that the network that Bobby Knight now works for is the one uncovering this.
It's A Great Day for Hockey!!!
Dan Bylsma is a lot like Barack Obama. Came in with no experience. Much acclaimed. Followed by four years of disappointment and failure. Then rehired.

Pitt Hires Suzie McConnell Serio as new women's basketball coach

I know women's college basketball is probably not very high on most peoples' lists of sports, but this was a huge hire for Pitt as the enter the ACC.

What all that looks like to me...

It took you to a Chinese webpage??? Posted Image

I don't think I've ever watched more than 5 minutes of a woman's basketball game, ever. I did watch a good portion of a girls WPIAL championship a few years back in person because it was being played before the boys championship. Those girls played rough. Actually, it was Oakland Catholic and Suzie was coaching that team back then.

I dated a girls basketball player. She could beat me one on one, and I was a half decent player. She was All Conference. Other than that, I got no reference.

Agreed. However, there are some people that are really into that sport. Albeit, not a majority of sports fans. I just thing it's a good hire by the University for that part of the sports program.

That's kind of a shocking move because the Duquesne women's team is in better shape and could have made the women's NCAA tourney before the Pitt women.

Plus, she oversaw the only good sports program at that school.

This is a step up for her, regardless of the state of Duquesne women's basketball. She'd going to be coaching in the ACC and she's going to be able to bring some recruits in because of her name and reputation. I do feel bad for Duquesne, but the fact that she left that program in good shape should help them bring in a decent coach. I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision for her to leave that school and those players. She probably got a nice pay increase as well.

I hear Mike Rice is available. Posted Image:o
