Victoria has Target now--replaced all of our Zellers stores. Seems like a just as shitty, but shinier version of Zellers... but there's a Starbucks in there so I go.

Those assholes at Walmart, bought our closed Zellers just so Target couldn't get in.

Wife's new computer came, it's a Win 8 machine, and after 30 min of messing with it, I can unequivocally say, Win 8 sucks!

Windows 8 was made for touch screen tablets and such (where it makes sense...)

they never should have put that on regular laptops though.

I want to get a new computer soon (I think my heatsink is shot and parts of the case are breaking)...but I would rather not deal with Windows 8...

I liked windows 7...

and is it wrong of me that i wanted to tell off an employee of walmart working in the electronics department when he was trying to explain the difference between windows 7 and windows 8 to a customer?

That was the first thing I said to my daughter when I first looked at it. Well, for $4.99 you can have Win 8 look and feel like Win 7 by following that link I posted. Which is exactly what I did.

i offer to volunteer to do something with my nieces and my sister in law tells me to shut up...

i had to sit through this little show yesterday where all the kids in the pre-school at this church and sing songs such as "Good Morning", "Jesus loves all the little children", and "you are my sunshine"

i told her the next time they do this, i could volunteer to be the one that sets up the play list because it would be more entertaining for everybody involved if the kids music selection came from the songs of Monty Python...

Get them to sing classic blink-182 songs such as Family Reunion (NSFW without headphones).

my reasoning was...they are singing in a church...sing a classic song about one of the rules of the catholic church...

Looks like it's going to be a boring deck bridge, so not much opportunity for fancy colors. BTW, the lavender has faded to dull while, although you probably know that already.

I might have posted this last year.

Those dummy engineers needed to find a way to make a direct connection to Rt.28. But Nooooooo..... :doh:/>

Getting across that bridge is a pain in the arse, especially in the afternoon, especially trying to make the left as you come at it from Harmarville. The traffic light timing is just stupid and obviously that bridge was not designed to handle that volume of traffic.

To make matters worse, they've closed the Plum Street bridge until at least the end of August.

Plus it is so narrow, it is like the 28 construction roads.

My guru (the one who gave you suggestions for your wife's computer) is an agreement. This is what he sent me after I told you what you did.

Hope he steered clear of WinBlows 8 as they are "updating" it... and will charge for it.....assholes!

I HATE BIKERS!!!

Friendship Ave. is a bike-way up to work. They NEVER stop at stop signs or red lights and completely hog the road. They think they have the right of way and are complete dicks on 'car roads'.

I HATE BIKERS!!

Actual email sent to our Sales Admin Assistant.

Hi Jennifer,

Good Morning!

I was suffering from Gastric cramp in my abdomen and was not able to make it up to work yesterday. I did check your emails and I have directed my backend team to source for the samples and create log in to access. I will get back with the details shortly.

Regards,

To which she forwards to our VP this:

TMI?

I talked to him today and we can’t do a tutorial. They are going to send me a sample file, however. I will let you know what I find out.

Jennifer

He finds it funny enough to forward to the rest of us:

Did you see that he used gastric cramping and backend in the same message. Clueless or ignorant?

Best Regards,

Then I jump in:

...or Freudian!!

He has a whole “backend” team!
